I accidentally voted yes. I most definitely meant no, but in a moment of being spaced out I clicked the yes and submit.

Just from the promotionals I knew I didn't want to see this show. Jokes about there being a lot of stupid people, and not couched in a funny way of saying it. Really gonna draw me in.

But as anyone who frequents the AIM chat knows, I am an adamant fan of Stella. It's so absurd I fucking love it.

Toothpaste For Fucking Dinner

Davis RS Daily Drawings / The IC

I am insulted that no one mentioned Toothpaste For Dinner yet. And if they did, I am insulted because obviously they didn't do it prominently enough.

I haven't actually read it, but beginning is spelled wrong in the thread title. Not exactly a good omen.

The Dandy Warhols have a new one coming out soon. I don't really like the title but I like pretty much everything they've done. Of course I've only listened to them since just after their last album came out, so this is the test of whether I really like them or just their heretofore collected works....

Someone needs to show the creator that it's funnier if the reader has to figure it out. Pretty much any strip where the rabbits are actually dead is not funny, or it's anticlimactic. For example, the ABBA one was hilarious until he actually used it to kill himself.

Re: Replying to a School Newspaper Article on Evolution

I am writing this letter as a response to <Person's> argument in favor of teaching alternatives to evolution within our science classrooms. I must say that I find it disheartening that such a large percentage of our students polled in favor of introducing alternative explanations for the origin of ...

Million Dollar Baby is really a very good example of powerful film. Both in the something-to-think-about sense and in just the total impact of the film. I've seen it twice and been completely absorbed both times. It's still in theatres, and if you want to see a strong serious drama, I recommend it ...

My underdog list. All of these don't succeed just as fanfics - I can see them as actual literature, too, which is my personal hallmark of success. "Anabasis" by Pablo. A very solid fic that seems to escape all the more mediocre conventions of the industry. Also, did "Le Mort Homme&quo...

Basically, you can have this exact same conversation at any point in time - the only variable is the name of the bands. I see a lot of the "Never Was" syndrome in people complaining about music. It just never was amazingly awesome all around; we get selective vision when recalling the band...

How would such a class be graded though? Oral Exams. No, I pretty much meant getting head from th...

This seems like a great idea, really. Even if you were already on the dating scene, it would make things more obvious. I, for one, remember how many things were cloaked in secrecy simply because no one ever talked about them. Plus, with the general hands-off approach most parents employ, you really ...
