During Bushs time as governor in Texas, there was some great protests against a women being death sentenced on poor grounds. Bush used that argument to justify her execution, although i cannot qoute exactly what he said.

I express such a low opinion of fundamentalist Islam because I know it's inferior to Western culture; I know that women ought not be treated like doormats, I know that killing non-believers is not an acceptable practice, and I know that children should not be savagely beaten for disrespecting their...

In fact...yes, it does. The supposed 'threath to western culture' are no more than different, in some cases albeit twisted, opinions. Like many westerners opinions seem to be about them. They see the US as exactly the same - a threath to their culture and traditions. And whatever i think about thei...

Vietnam does not compare to European imperialism.
So what? European imperialism took place at least 50 years ago. USAs more refined version takes place now. If you look for exact comparisions, i cannot help, but i think the core is pretty much the same.

- Ymir, how do you spell 'comparisions'?

Again, what of the Taliban-supported training camps? Pardon my lack of knowledge, but those where rather briefly described in swedish media. I'm sure american media have a rather larger interest in everything that ties them to the talibans. Of course, i do think that the talibans had something to d...

Well...

Where did you miss the part where we delivered the Taliban an ultimatum and suggested that if only they’d disown and offer up al-Qaeda they could escape regimé-change? I diden't. I just happen to believe that the logic in that would be like China forcing USA to hand over the persons responsible for...

Now and then

When we take control of a country, rule it by fiat, and kill as many people in it as were slaughtered in the Belgian Congo, then you can say the USA is morally equal to Europe. Good day. Europe did that many years ago. The US does it today. I think that is a rather big difference. And we haven't us...

A little fairytale

Once upon a time, there was a kingdom that had once been a great culture, who taught the humans how to write, how to foretell the future in the stars...and how to wage war. This kingdom was ruled by a evil sultan, who one day decided to invade his neighboring country, a small kingdom by the sea. The...

SirNitram, i might continue discussing with you when you stop assaulting me personally. Just because everyone else here seems fine with calling eachother 'assholes' and 'moronboy' it doesen't mean i have to resort to such behavior, or accept being object for it. I am able to have a civilized discuss...

Why do we have some sort of responsibility because we're the strongest? Everyone has a responsibility. Nauru has one, Uzbekistan has one, Andorra has one, Iraq has one...and the US has one. But none are in such a good position to violate that responsibility as the US, and that makes their responsib...

Peanut-butter and democratic values

What, exactly, is the responsibility of the most powerful nation? To not opress and abuse the less powerful. See, as I understand it, the most powerful nation is obliged.. Perhaps required.. to remove those it used as stepping stones, should they prove dangerous. You know, like the Taliban and Sadd...

Killing citizens

What about the whole gassing his own population thing? Not to mention the other crimes he's been accused of that are covered in far more detail elsewhere in this board. The US would never launch a nuclear strike against another nuclear-armed State unless fired upon first. Not today. Tomorrow, who knows? I don't know why you minimize the nuclear power of France, Britain, Russia, China, Israel, India, Pakistan, etc - These States all have notable influence because o...

Opinions and reasons

War is always the last answer - But sometimes you have to resort to the last answer. More often than you want to, which is never, and probably disturbingly more often than that. There's a reason for why that is - It's because of how human societal structures are organized. And that won't be changin...

ABC

The bigger problem is that someone who is irrational might start running a country with nukes. Then the system goes out the window. What if they don't care? What if they think they can get away with a launch at an ally, or at troops? What if they have some group ideology which will make their comma...

I'm sorry, I could be a good little debator, and rebut your stupidity, but you are too well set in your ways of being Anti-US for every single detail, and obviously don't have the intelligence to comprehend anything I would attempt to explain to you anyways. Not that those two are related in any wa...

He used those long range missiles to repeatedly hit another nation, Isreal. Why, I wonder, would we take them away? Oh yea, because he was a BAD FUCKING BOY AND SHOT AT CIVILIANS. Moron. That sounds exactly like the US activities in Iraq, Jugoslavia and Afghanistan. I remember the Chinese Embassy i...

You want a damn good reason why both the Taliban and Saddam should be removed by the US? The US put them there! When they turned out to be assholes, they should have undone it then, but at least it's being done. How about the asshole behind it all, then? Shouldn't it do something about itself? - Ym...

Political jokes

Personally, i can't really tell the difference between having one candidate and having three-four with largely the same opinions. Between, i have never said that Saddam Hussein does not represent Iraq. His rulership is as common a fact as that many nations have had elections with only one candidate ...

Provocation

Yes, if you invade the USA, you will be attacked. But it takes a lot to provoke a serious United States military response. And exactly what did Iraq do to provoke a serious United States military respons? They happened to be in the wrong geographical spot in the wrong time, and that haven't been a ...

Unpleasant regimes?

Funny you should mention 'unpleasant regimes'. You see, personally, i find the US the most unpleasant of all. Kim Jong-Il might be a rather twisted and patethic figure, but at least his regime only opresses its own people. Unlike USA, who have been playing lawyer, judge and executioner for the whole...
