Heh heh, good job Mike, nice going on the indignation and trotting out the rules to hide behind. Now, all we need is a 5 paragraph long diatribe in the most excruciating details possible on how I've persecuted you over the last few years. After all, you're always talking about providing evidence, an...

Shep, I beg to differ, the smog ridden hellhole is only in part of California. It's not at all true for the parts in Eugene, Portland, Seattle, and so forth. See, you can learn something new everyday... For example, CA has absorbed WA and OR as well since the last time I looked at the map. Totally n...

Silly Mike, whoever said anything about entertaining other people. But please, write up a sob story about how you had to contend with persecution and bigotry in your life, always really good reads. Come on... you know you want to. In this case, it's the big evil American bullying around poor helples...

I know it... Vancouver is about the most expensive part of Canada. But that's not too big a deal after you've lived in the most expensive place in the U.S. for a few years. Besides, to me, it's just another big city that I would avoid and move into the suburbs as quickly as possible. P.S. Look up th...

For Canada, I recommend Vancouver. I really liked that city compared to say Ottawa or Toronto just for the weather. The winter seem to be much milder at Vancouver. And you can always find a decent place to ski not too far up north.

Shep, I didn't say there was anything wrong with what Mike said... I'm just taking his entire message out of context. So, how should people persecute Mike? If done just right, it would provide the right fodder and just the correct amount of indignation to keep him going for a few more pages. You kno...

continuing the fine tradition of reading Mike's exact words and understanding his meaning... I think he just suggested that we persecute him.

Woohooo. Let's persecute Mike Wong for... well, whatever. The reason isn't important, just the persecution.

Been through Canada a couple of times this year. For the most part, they like Americans, at least from my experiences and went out of their way to be helpful in a couple of instances. Just be sure you don't bring up politics. Which most normal people don't do anyway. The feelings seem to be quite vi...

nawww, I read your contradictions often enough to know that even if I bothered read a whole sentence from you, I'd just find another contradictory example down the road somewhere. But you're very entertaining to me, so, every now and then, it's worth it to toss out a statement and see you sputter. B...

too true, xeno.... The poor Germans got the stuffings kicked out of them. But that doesn't diminish what some of these generals accomplished in the arts of war. Guderian, Rommel, Manstein, and others had accomplished. But as you so rightly pointed out, it took the entire world to gang up on them to ...

psst. Andrew, the same reason why CNN thrived during the age of Bill Clinton. Now, instead of those commie SOB democrats, we have the evil conniving republicans in charge. On a more serious note, I think I should be given the power to arbitrarily decide who lives and dies in this world. I think we'd...

Fox news is banned in Canada because everyone in Canada knows that Ruppert Murdoc is the DEVIL... What other possible reason could there be? And since he obviously struck a deal with those evil Republicans against the enlightened people of Canada and the rest of the world, the only recourse ...

how unfortunate, people letting little things like mutual assured destruction hold them back from slaughtering each other. Times like this, one wished that Truman never dropped the bomb. India and Pakistan should be encouraged to go at each other and treat nukes like conventional weapons. After all,...

The main problem, if you could call it that is what would actually happen if Arafat did bite the dust from say a hellfire missile fired by an Israeli Apache. The entire benefit of Arafat is that he is a known quantity, give him a cushy enough life, and he could care less if half the west bank or Gaz...

duh, of course, how else are they going to make Arafat the focal point of the struggle. They have to do something to make him appear to be the only credible leader of the Palestinians. As long as he stays, he is a known quantity that can be counted on to play the game a certain way. I think the only...

Zod, With most of the sales guys I know, at least in the high tech industry, commissions work like this. You have a base salary, call it 75K for simiplicity. You have a commission on top of that, call it another 25K. Look at it for the whole year, you're supposed to achieve a certain quota on sales....

Zod,

are you actually saying that if I gave you a choice of 1.6% between two unknown packages, you wouldn't like to know what each package was? In that vein, I think what you just told me is that 1.6% of $100,000 is not too different than from say 1.6% of $10 trillion.

Ok... that makes it clear.

Let's take a bit more of a roundabout view of this. Is Arafat good for Israel? Believe it or not, the answer is yes. Deep down inside, the last thing Sharon would want is someone new to replace Arafat. Arafat is a known quantity, he doesn't like Israel, he wants to line his own pockets, he'd put him...

Zod, modestly intelligent people might actually bring up the question, 1.6% of how much funding? Of course, been that most of the world (up to 99.995% I'd say) is composed exclusively of idiots, that line might actually fly. After all, it could be 1.6% of $100,000 of funding. And that's nothing... y...

Actually, I'd rather have Al Sadr than Sistani... the former is younger, more impressionable, and let's just say a bit more pliable. There is always something to be said for having a straight up enemy rather than so called allies who is off doing God knows what behind your back. After all, violence ...

Hate to agree with Wong, but he's right. Who cares about just a billion dollars in fees, or even bribes. It's pocket change. Imagine the greater good done by the little bit of bribes on the side. The Iraqi people were much better off with the remaining 98.4%

This is so funny. Degan says there is ample evidence of Al Qaeda planning to strike at the U.S. eight months before Sept 11.... I would think there were ample evidence long before that. Recall the first world trade center bombing, the Y2K plot to blow up LAX. I think all of those occurred long befor...
