WEG sources are notoriously inacurate, orginating the horrendous 160 km-diameter Death Star and 8 km-long Executor bullshit. Those stats aren't canon, and not to be trusted. - Ra When All lucas sources claims the DS to be 120 km in diameter http://www.starwars.com/databank/location/deathstar/ and t...

A new and cheaper ISD should with no doubt loose all of those expensive and good-for-nothing turbolasers and instead mount a shitload of anti-starfighter quad lasers + some of those KDY v-150 “Planet Defender” Anti-Orbital Ion Cannons the Rebels used at Hoth. They can disable a single stardestroyer ...

To be honest I don’t think any one at Lucas ever gave the stormtrooper designations any thought other then it should be very military like and give the impression that they where 1 of a billion troopers. But still …. If I should make a realistic assumption on the TK-421 designation this is how I cou...

Mustafar! What kind of a planet name is that!
Anyone know where Lucas got his inspiration from when naming this planet? Have the planet been in pre-episode III sources or invented for Epi III?
I can not stop thinking of the muslim / middle eastern name Mustafa when saying Mustafar

Old Republic T.I.E. Fighter
As I understand TIE history is as follows: T.I.E. Fighter - The first Twin Ion Engine fighter introduced during the old Republic. TIE Fighter - The next generation of this fighter. Enhanced and modified for use in the Imperial Starfleet. TIE/ln Fighter - The "perfected" version of the TIE ...

I think that even if everything the Empire and other big known organizations use in the Star Wars movies are not what would seem like state of the art equipment, it would not mean that better stuff didnt exists in the sw galaxy. Our own earth history has also shown many times, especially in the anci...

Wow! those Plustech walkers are cool! (even though they can only cut and move around wood) I cant see AT-AT like war machines here on earth in the near future. As ppl have already stated antitank weapons are just to dangerous now adays. But who knows what the far future will bring? More advanced arm...

It does carry all those AT-ATs and shuttles. But the real killer in terms of space is probably those 12 landing barges. Anything capable of carrying an AT-AT to the surface has got to be huge. I assume it is the AT-Barge the ISD carries: http://insd.swcombine.com/insd/atbarge.htm http://insd.swcomb...

K.S.U. lenght?
Does anyone here know what an Imperial K.S.U. is? It is clearly a unit for length measurment as we can see here: http://www.theforce.net/swtc/Pix/kdy/blueisd2.gif http://www.theforce.net/swtc/Pix/kdy/blueisd4.gif and it seems to be a unit that is like aproximatly 42 meters long. But what does the K ...

Another comment on the database, if I may. This: Length: 2,500-12,800 meters is quite a disparate range for the length of a Super Star Destroyer, and how anyone can look at that picture you've got right there in the entry and even arrive at a rough estimate of less than twice the length of the ISD ...

The SWTC pages about propulsion is good reading stuff, but in Mr. Curtis Saxtons own opinion MGLT is an “acceleration” unit and not a “speed” unit. And therefore I can not agree with his calculations about 1 MGLT being aprox 400m/s² or 40 G I can’t find any official sources claiming that MGLT is an ...

Space Speeds of Star Wars - 1 MGLT is ?
Woohoo this is my first post here at the StarDestroyer.Net ! Yay  I have been surfing the board a bit since I first found it, and there seems to be a few star wars fan(atic)s here who knows a lot about star wars. So I would like to get my answer here. MGLT (Short for MeGaLighTs according to my ...
