Another nice chapter, even if it is a little short. Now, I was under the impression (and KOTOR only increased that feeling) that Krayt dragons were a lot larger than Rancors. For one of them to fit under Jabba's room, it would have to be either a small one, either the room was enlarged or the Drago...

That show where her and tuvok were captured seemed to suggest that 7 of 9 was stronger than vulcans. How strong are vulcans and how much stronger is buffy than an normal human? Unfortunately ST has a habit of making nonhumans superstrong when they wan't and then not continuing that in other episode...

THE ISLAND (Spoilers)
Pretty awesome movie, if it weren't for the constant product placement, and the fact that every single car in the movie is a new 2005 model car in what is supposidly 50 years in the future. It looks like a produce got ahold of an idea and ran with it, without any consideration to details.

So for all the people who think that this procedure would fall under the umbrella of homophobia, lets look at a slightly different scenario. If you could tell during pregnancy that your child would be sterrile and could fix that, would you? If it's solely a physical defect? Yes, I would. If they're...

Perhaps the new BSG is making such a splash in the ratings is also because the writers are making an effort to tie in real worlds troubles into the series. P.S. Sci-fi fucking rocks. Now if they would start showing anime movies on saturday mornings again, and some other cartoon series during weekday...

Not clones, just no gross variations; no huge noses and receding chins, for example. Or, everyone having huge noses and receding chins... Think of everyone looking enough alike to have a family resemblance. How completely and utterly boring. I imagine the parents of children with horrible genetic d...

That wasn't in the OP. The OP implied that there is a gene, that when active, would make the person homosexual. It said nothing about a malfunctioning gene. It implies that making someone gay IS the function of the gene. So, my point still stands that not everyone would be born with this gene to be...

Assuming that the child had the gene in the first place. I'm assuming this is something that is common to all humans and that someone becomes a homosexual through the malfunction of the gene, which in this case could be controlled by a genetist.. Who cares? If the public uproar is sufficient to cau...

Re: California school district to "affirm" Ebonics
I haven't kept up on this and the results of the different types of teaching seem to go back and forth as to which is best. I just thought that the last I had heard that the ESL version eventually works better although in the begining it's tougher. I most certainly can be wrong on this since, like ...

Re: California school district to "affirm" Ebonics
This might be a legitamit point as far as teaching the students but there's a lot of controversy on how students with English as their second language should be taught in school. It's a big issue down here and so far I think that in the long run the Spanish speaking students do better in the US if ...

http://encyclopedia.laborlawtalk.com/Ebonics Another report on the same story. Personally, I feel that the emphasis should be to teach these students correct english, even if it means putting them into some sort of ESL program, not pander to the idea that it is some kind of proper language associate...
