Re: Let's Play: Star Wars Empire at War
Insult its forces...you think that sending droids to do our job is a god idea against an AI? I'm sure a number would volunteer to go scrap them from those who were forced to run if we need troops that badly.

Re: Let's Play: Star Wars Empire at War
I don't think I have any suggestions that have not already been made by my more senior colleagues in the fleet, but I do wonder as to the absence of tank droids in our arsenal. As I recall, we should be able to produce them on Something Awful (formerly Mechis III). Having seen them in action, they ...

Re: Let's Play: Star Wars Empire at War
Whoa there, I was pointing out that spelling and/or grammar errors are towards the bottom of the fixing list. Didn't even know who did it.Crossroads Inc. wrote:you guys all suck, I get dyslexic on ONE spelling of "empire" and its a total gang up, shame on all of you!

Re: Let's Play: Star Wars Empire at War
Captain White Haven would like to point out that whatever else it may find itself in need of, the Empire's spellchecking technology is in dire need of research if the recent communiques from certain naval officers are any indication. Perhaps our espionage efforts should be focused towards the Death...

Re: Let's Play: Star Wars Empire at War
I must agree here. At the very least cutting their options for entering our space without a battle would force them to reconsider any attacks or counterattacks in the future, as well as force them to reinvest in their corrupting activities. On the other hand, shooting someone in the face is also a g...

Re: Let's Play: Star Wars Empire at War
Ok, I just noticed this in the images from the Second Battle of Mygeeto. What the fuck is that beam coming from the Necromancer? Jesus Christ, I missed it mentioned in the narrative too. I'm obviously very observant.

Re: Let's Play: Star Wars Empire at War
From the desk of Captain Sate Morano Rath: Most excellent, a successful assault upon the DEATHbots as well as control of the Mygeeto system. This is fantastic news to go with the R&D developments. The abilities to send Imps and escort carriers into battle will surely aid in the area of fighters....

Re: Let's Play: Star Wars Empire at War
It would seem that both yourself and Captain Thanas are still alive as it was Onasi and Solauren commanding the ships in the first battle.

Re: Let's Play: Star Wars Empire at War
It can't be any worse than the INS Indestructible and its replacement. Though it was highly amusing to see them both lost in their first (shown) combat encounter.

Re: Let's Play: Star Wars Empire at War
From the desk of Captain Sate Morano Rath: The price may be steep, but the Empire has proven the power of delusion is little match for the power of progress. If these cultists were rational at all, they would fall back to lick their gaping wounds from this failed offensive. As much as I would like t...

Re: Let's Play: Star Wars Empire at War
Given Captain Rath's tendency to act without orders and disregard them, I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out the Asshole family tree had branches on the Necromancer. As to this Darkstar character...even I have to admit it makes the DEATHbots a secondary concern.

Re: Let's Play: Star Wars Empire at War
Quite true. When I look at this beyond my personal goal of Mygeeto/fucking robots though, it seems like it would be best to see to the Empire's guard before gathering larger assault task forces. Perhaps it's the having the option to actually be properly on guard that sways my opinion.

Re: Let's Play: Star Wars Empire at War
From the random available flat surface of Commodore Sate Morano Rath: Given my slight dislike of the bloody robots, I would tend towards a few big ships to add to the task force to take Mygeeto from their cold, durasteel appendages. Of course, my advice is likely suspect due to the First Battle of M...

Re: Let's Play: Star Wars Empire at War
In my defense of disobeying and encouraging others to disobey direct orders, all ships lost were doomed before that point. History has shown that there can be a painful attrition rate for ship commanders in this Empire. Add in the kill on that core ship and it was most surely a valid course of acti...

Re: Let's Play: Star Wars Empire at War
Oh grand fun with the asskicking of fools. I take it that the Necromancer will see more of mad organics before pissing on the Cylon...err...mad robot's bit of running humans off. EDIT: People who I've seemingly passed over in assigning a ship to are being saved for some nefarious narrative purpose. ...

Re: Let's Play: Star Wars Empire at War
I would second Captain Crossroad's suggestion of building our power base before we make our next move. Following that, I would see the pirates to the galatic "northeast" as our next target to cut the space between the "northern" and "eastern" cells of cultists.

Re: Let's Play X-COM: UFO Defense!
I'd have to disagree. You obviously have the "kill" and "blow shit up" parts down. I don't think there's anything else in the training for X-COM. And that good sir is where you are incorrect. You must also learn how to completely disregard all survival instincts, ignore the chai...
