Re: Force needed to crush an average human into paste?

Area of Cylinder = 2*pi*r(r+h) = 1.938 m^2 This is the cylinder's total area, so you are placing your victim in a pressure chamber, not dropping a rock on it/slamming it with a vehicle/letting it fall from a building. May sound stupid but I think it is better to point it out. :P I would calculate t...

Re: Force needed to crush an average human into paste?

According to the CDC the Average Male Waist Circumference (US) = 39.7 inches = 1.008 meters Circumference = 2*pi*r; r = C/(2*pi) Average Male Radius = .1604 meters Area of Cylinder = 2*pi*r(r+h) = 1.938 m^2 force = pressure * area = (177 MPa)(1.938 m^2) = 343 x 10^6 N So if a human were a cylinder o...

Re: Force needed to crush an average human into paste?

Thank you for the link.

Okay so 1800 kg/cm^2 ~ 177 MPa.

Since pressure = force / area; force = pressure * area.

If we say that a human is a cylinder then area = 2*pi*r(r+h).

Average Human Height (US) = 1.763 meters. But what would the radius be?

So you don't think the the fact that Violet had just finished torturing him and threatened to do the same to Kahlan makes Richard at all justified in hitting her?

There ARE hints of it in book seven.

And we all now that saying "Hey we are gonna attack you now" = attacking you. Do you even have the comic though? Because that didn't happen either. Here's how it went down: Hulk lands on their front porch. Beast tells Prodigy to evacuate the students and to warn Charles. Beast then ...

Try reading the book again, dumbass. Beast told Hulk he couldn't have Xavier so Hulk backhanded him. No X-Men touched him prior to that.

Better to be a monster than a person like Batman who never gets anything done. People would be a lot safer if he killed the Joker or any of his other enemies. No, it isn't. Because once an individual starts believing that they are the sole arbiter of "justice" they are prone to making dec...

The previous post was a mistake. Sorry. Do you know what "known villain" means? It's when you know without a doubt that a person is guilty. So? Just because everyone in the world knew that O.J, Michael Jackson, and Charles Manson did there respective evil deeds, but the fuckers still deser...

Why should we put aside? As long as Frank is killing known villains and not innocents then it's a good thing. Yeah, cause who needs those pesky checks and balances? As long as a known and unstable vigilantee decides who lives and dies, there's no harm done, right? Because these people are "kno...
