http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y143/Uberbucket/breetai.jpg Nope, no cybernetics ever in Macross. Not even a technology base to work from at all... Should have specified that I was looking at it in terms of application on normal humans, not Zentraedi, and it was a pretty big jump from Breetai's fa...

Haven't watched 22 yet, but I'm rapidly running out of steam. The show started off really good and fun, capturing a lot of the feel of the original series, now I'm starting to feel like Kawamori's Macross 7 desire to go totally fucking stupid with it has caught back up with him. I mean, I can see th...

Speaking of that, I'm gonna take an opportunity to ask something I've been wondering about for a while: do Robotech fans as a generalized whole really care a whole lot about the Southern Cross and Mospeada portions of the show? It seems like the vast majority of coverage and stuff like merchandise ...

US Army doctors do not go through combat training. They get directly commissioned as Captains, and get basically enough training as to be able to put on their uniform, and give orders to enlisted medical personnel. They don't necessarily learn how to shoot a gun, unless they do it on their own time...

I know what you mean. I might say 'I prefer Witcher' a lot, but I played ME all the way through pretty solidly whereas at 20h and about 25% of the way through Witcher I've kinda stalled. Maybe 20h is my adventure game limit. :) Cyclone, it amuses me that the 'sniper' types are usually totally usele...

I just finished my first playthrough tonight, and most of my gripes are the same ones I'm seeing here. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed the game, and though the main story was a bit short, I thought it played out very well and felt like a good sci-fi movie, if a little less than epic at times. I enjoyed...

He was? I somehow must have totally missed that little gem of dialogue in at least a dozen playthroughs of both games. Where do you find that out?The Yosemite Bear wrote:Harold the ghoul was the son of Set, the Ghoul cultist who was a total bastard in Harold's own words, and was in league with the Master's goons.

how about Fallout, you just wander out into the desert.... To found a village along with others from your vault and possibly surrounding areas who were drawn to you by what you accomplished in defeating the Master? Not to mention running into people in Fallout 2 who remembered the Vault Dweller ala...

No Spartan of any class has ever infected by the Flood, so their susceptibility is unknown. However, the augmentation regimen of the Spartan-IIs is know, and it doesn't involve any modification that would immunize them against the Flood, were such a thing even possible. Infection forms burrow into ...

What difference would it make if Johnson is a sparrtan-1 OR he has some rare neurological disease? Either way there would have to be something unusual with him for him to have any resistance at all. As I recall, Master Chief wasn't immune to infection was he? So again, it's a case of not being terr...

Dude, the empire fields trillions to quadrillion of soldiers as it can be derived from the quote of quadrillions of droids unless you think 3 million is a good number. And many trillions is much much more than billions.... Is that PER planet? As the Flood force size in question is referring to a si...

Sterilization via Base Delta Zero. Any other areas are suitably quarantined and rinse-wash-and-repeat. Vader had an area of Falleen sterilized from orbit when a bacteriological weapon was accidentally released. I think the question is whether or not Tatooine is important enough to the Empire to war...
