American Idiot - Rock Opera?

Post by Stravo »

I picked this CD up on a whim after hearing only great thngs about it. I listened to it once last night and most of ita gain this morning on the way to work on my iPod. WOW. Great stuff. But I find myself getting lost in the music and beats and not really lisetning to the lyrics. An EW review called it a rock opera. Can someone give me a run down on what its supposed to be about if it is an opera? Favorite track so far is Novacaine.

It takes a long time to load I do not advise it for 56k. Go to music and they explain all :)

I think it's great too, and I heard the actual opera version of it is getting wrapped up before production right now (although that's just a rumour; I haven't taken the time to look it up yet).
