Your favorite club/lounge song?

Post by Kreshna Aryaguna Nurzaman »

When you're hanging around, enjoying live music at some club/lounge, what song you're most likely to request?

As for me, here's my list:

(1) Brand New Heavies - Soulflower

(2) Blair - Have Fun Go Mad

(3) Supergroove - Can't Get Enough

(5) Shunza - And I Know

(6) Maroon Five - This Love

(7) Diana King - Shy Guy

(8 ) US3 - Cantaloop

I also like tunes from Incognito, although I have no particular preference on their songs.

Note that the song #3 really requires a skillful band ;)

Well, I don't know, but it seems in Jakarta the perennial favorites are I Will Survive and Long Train Running.

How about you guys?

Richard Cheese - Down With The Sickness.

You may remember it from the new Dawn of The Dead.
"Oh no, oh yeah, tell me how can it be so fair
That we dying younger hiding from the police man over there
Just for breathing in the air they wanna leave me in the chair
Electric shocking body rocking beat streeting me to death"

- A.B. Original, Report to the Mist

"I think it’s the duty of the comedian to find out where the line is drawn and cross it deliberately."

Ah, I forgot to add my old-time favorite: M People - Itchycoo Park.

Of course, there's not many bands in Jakarta know that song... :(

Portishead - Glorybox. The ultimate song for the Lounge Lizards. Sit in a darkened room drinking a cocktail and chill to this.
