Image Woes

Post by Noble Ire »

I will admit, I have never been particularly adept computer wise.
I've been able to struggle through fairly well, and I'v been able to figure out more than a few techinical problems by blind luck. However, I have reached an impass.

I've been attempting to compress one of these images into a format appropriate for usage as an avatar here, but I have been unable to do so. I have been using the Jasc Paint Shop Pro for the Windows XP. These are the target images, either will do if properly compressed (although I'm not sure the bottom one can be shrunk without being compromised):

Assistance or advice would be appreciated. And yes, I am a hopeless noob.

While arbiter1.thumb.jpg is small enough kilobyte-wise, it's way over the maximum pixel dimensions. I can crop one at 100x100 in a few minutes and upload it onto my photobucket account for a day if you need that done for you.

Save and upload that.

EDIT: Looks like it's working for you. I've taken it off my account now since iit's no longer needed.

No problem. Next time remember to keep the 100x100 dimension in mind.

If Photoshop's your crack, then it's my religion. I spent hours airbrushing, dodging/burning/blending, cutting/matting, and applying gradients to my avatar just so I could create a clean 600x600 'master copy' version of my freakish avatar. :P

Yeah, well get in line; there's one leading up to my complaint box.
And of course I keep it decorated with posters like this one or some inspirational stuff :D

It is clearly the Elite Arbiter from Halo 2; at least he wasn't too lame to not get an ending, though the same can't be said for the 'boss-battle'.

Yes, I expected more from a nine-foot ape with an energy shield and a one-hit killo hammer.
