I've been working on getting to know 3D max better and to have some fun at the same time too. I thought I'd share the few models I've built so far.
An airship, based on the imperial warships from Skies of Arcadia:
A fightercraft from Jovian Chronicles universe:
I was working with some fellow students to build a 3D model of the area surrounding our current project site and I chose to use 3D max for a change:
I'd like to return and finish off (more detail, textures) the airship model when I get the time.

It's hardly the first time, Ein.
Anyway, nice models.
I believe in a sign of Zeta.

cool, the first one looks like a Sky Furnace from The Red Star

Nice.
I´d get a lot more detail into the first one.
Also check out the smoothing groups in the the second one. They seem to be set wrong or are partially non existant.
The third one is cool. Nice detail.

the first one reminds me of the Homeworld 2 Hiigaran destroyer.

Yes! While the cannon and turret style is pretty much straight off the Imperial airships, I was looking at the higaran destroyer at the time, particularly the prow and lower hull. I'm quite amazed that someone spotted that.
