I used to write some music using the old Amiga .MOD format back in high school and have been tinkering around with Rosegarden in an attempt to get back into it. The problem is, sometimes I work out a tune only to discover later on that I was really just piecing togeather a song that I'd heard before and couldn't remember the source of, rather than writing something original.
Basically, today I cranked out the beginnings of a song (although it's still very far from being complete) and would appreciate it if you guys would take a listen and let me know if any parts of it sound a bit too "familiar."
Here's the song (encoded in Ogg Vorbis format.
EDIT: Changed the instrumentation slightly and re-uploaded it. Wasn't happy with one of the parts before.
