Since I started seeing this stunt on tv I began wondering if someone found out about this because they had tried to drink some diet soda while they had a Mento in their mouth.
From what they were doing on David Letterman's show the fountain effect seems to be stronger if the mentos are placed in a 2 liter bottle right after it's opened.
