I don't recall the particulars, all I remember is this painting. I've tried to recreate it here:
The Laughing Woman
The details I remember:
The background is a mild pink and black with a third color behind them, but is difficult to see (I think it was navy blue). The pink and black are brushed in and have a broken/feathery appearance.
The woman is partially completed from an artist's beginning sketch (hence the stick figure like appearance) and in neon pink. The face is the most detailed and completed part (in the dream, more completed than seen here).
The woman's body is facing away from the viewer, her smiling, jovial face turned toward the viewer.
her left hand hangs behind her and her right hand lies loosely on her chest.
