I guess you've never seen Transformers: The Movie, the 1980s one.
I did see Megatron kill a lot of Autobots, including Optimus Prime, in 'Transformers: The Movie'. I did NOT see Megatron kill anyone in the cartoon episodes produced BEFORE the movie, e.g., episodes set in 1984-1986. There was NO mention of Megatron killing anyone from 1987-2005, in the time between the end of Season 2 and the beginning of the movie, e.g., no "This is for Warpath!" "Beachcomber will be avenged!" or other Autobot cries to avenge fallen comrades.
Please do not make Americans fight giant monsters.

Those gun nuts do not understand the meaning of "overkill," and will simply use weapon after weapon of mass destruction (WMD) until the monster is dead, or until they run out of weapons.

They have more WMD than there are monsters for us to fight. (More insanity here.)

That's because it was a kid's show.

So then the new Megatron is still ahead by 1?
Yeah I liked the new Megatron design. Not a whole lot more than the old one. The the new one had a little bit more in common with Sauron due to all of that spikiness, something I'm personally a little tired of in regards to bad guys post-LotR trilogy.

That last GI-Joe/Transformers crossover won't leave my head.. every time I look at megs I imagine him stuck in a holster and being taunted by cobra commander.

Excellent Picture.

Just as cool as when Megatron kills the Gobot Cy-kill in the Megratron Origins comic book.

G1 Megatron's robot form is classic, I just think the gun sucked. It offended my sense of reality even as a little kid.

"I am the fearsome leader of the Decepticons! And I need to be held by one of my goons when I transform!"

Lame.

I really liked his form in the Bay movie - awesome robot form and the Cybertronian Jet design was sweet, while retaining cool things from the G1 form - the flail, the big gun, the face (generally, after the change).

The colored version rocks.
