I did see Megatron kill a lot of Autobots, including Optimus Prime, in 'Transformers: The Movie'. I did NOT see Megatron kill anyone in the cartoon episodes produced BEFORE the movie, e.g., episodes set in 1984-1986. There was NO mention of Megatron killing anyone from 1987-2005, in the time between the end of Season 2 and the beginning of the movie, e.g., no "This is for Warpath!" "Beachcomber will be avenged!" or other Autobot cries to avenge fallen comrades.DPDarkPrimus wrote:I guess you've never seen Transformers: The Movie, the 1980s one.Sidewinder wrote:. And he actually killed someone, something G1 Megatron couldn't do for 21 years (from 1984 to 2005, not counting the millions spent in stasis aboard the Ark).
Please do not make Americans fight giant monsters.
Those gun nuts do not understand the meaning of "overkill," and will simply use weapon after weapon of mass destruction (WMD) until the monster is dead, or until they run out of weapons.
They have more WMD than there are monsters for us to fight. (More insanity here.)

That's because it was a kid's show.Sidewinder wrote: I did see Megatron kill a lot of Autobots, including Optimus Prime, in 'Transformers: The Movie'. I did NOT see Megatron kill anyone in the cartoon episodes produced BEFORE the movie, e.g., episodes set in 1984-1986.

So then the new Megatron is still ahead by 1?
Yeah I liked the new Megatron design. Not a whole lot more than the old one. The the new one had a little bit more in common with Sauron due to all of that spikiness, something I'm personally a little tired of in regards to bad guys post-LotR trilogy.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.
Hit it.

G1 Megatron's robot form is classic, I just think the gun sucked. It offended my sense of reality even as a little kid.
"I am the fearsome leader of the Decepticons! And I need to be held by one of my goons when I transform!"
Lame.
I really liked his form in the Bay movie - awesome robot form and the Cybertronian Jet design was sweet, while retaining cool things from the G1 form - the flail, the big gun, the face (generally, after the change).

That's beautiful work. I wish I knew how to colour stuff like that.generator_g1 wrote:New update: The colored version is up at the first page.
