As some of you (or none of you) may know, I work at my school's TV station, LTTV. And throughout the course of the weekend we're working with WLTL, the school's radio station, to produce Rockathon.
The concept is simple. WLTL is poor, so they go on the air and beg for money, and we film their misery.
Okay, that's a little harsh, especially since we do have the biggest budget in the school and can afford $50000 Sony high-def cameras. But anyway, Rockathon's lasting all weekend (88.1 hours, which is coincidentally WLTL's FM frequency, so if you're in or around Chicago, you may be able to pick up WLTL on your radio. If you can't, we're streaming LTTV live on our site and WLTL has their own site, where they are streaming their radio broadcast live as well.
Tune in for a little bit at least; if you've got money to blow, WLTL is pretty desperate for the cash, so you might get them to do something awesome. I just got off doing graphics, and I'll be behind a camera on Sunday from noon till 4 PM, CST.
