This thread is well known in the internet.

A pity the latest work is kept secret, but if there's a future publishing planned, I understand it.

But keep us updated about the status of the project, we need to know when we have to have the denarii/aurei ready.

The Materials and Rendering of this models are a disgrace to the original concept and the models proportions, esspecially in the front, are just wrong.
That bridge on top destroys the elegance of the shape the ship had in the sketch.
The water ripples make it look like it´s a 50cm long model ship.

I thought there was something wrong with the water when I first saw it. Then again, good water is a bitch to render, as I know from personal experience.

No it´s not. There are a trillion excelent tutorials out there for water and for each and every single cg program. Water is needed so commonly that it´s allmost a standard material.
