I wonder if this is actually meant to be a homage or if Hollywood's trailer making skills have reached that point where they have an optimum formula for producing the most enticing trailer.

Either that, or it's a fan-job of the original trailer, which is just as likely.

Two things, one our explosions are much better nowadays, two it does look pretty damn similuar but are you sure that's the original batman trailer?

No, I'm not sure. Hence my mention there that it's quite possibly a fan-trailer to make this "side by side" work.
