One thing kinda puzzles me, your skies. In some of them such as 2nd picture in your first post or the Washington Cathedral pics, they're a nice bright blue. In other such as Washington DC-195 or Washington DC-93 it's a yucky dull colour which looks wrong. I noticed the same thing in your New York picture sets, in some pictures the sky looks nice, in others it's some wonky colour as if the white balance is totally off. Are you letting the camera set the colour balance automatically or are you doing it manually?

It varies, in some it's automatic, in others I set it, in others I tried fixing it on my pc, in others I shot through a glass window, in some It was simply at sunset, etc'. The California stuff has a lot that are just crazy burnt for example.
