Some random Halo video I made

Post by ray245 »

It's pretty crappy given that this is the first time I edited a video and all that.

It would be helpful if people can give me some constructive criticism and point out where should I improve on.

It's less of a trailer and more cutscenes strung together with text. It's not really bad, it just suffers from what pretty much every fan trailer suffers from: trying to show too much rather than, you know, tease - which a trailer should do.

If your main idea is simply that of "losing war, hero stands up", you can cut that into a 30s trailer that'll do a lot more to make this hypothetical movie seem interesting that a 2:16 that drags.

The first video is more of a music video than an actual trailer in my opinion. I'm trying to use the videos to capture the mood of the music.

An additional thing is, I'm trying my best to avoid portraying the story as "hero stands up" , but rather as a story where desperate soldiers are clinging on to Master Chief and his exploits to carry on fighting.

The second video one suffers from the fact that I couldn't find the right music for the second half of the clip.
