I know that tune! FOREVER!
You know every one of the songs listed here, even if you don't know their names. These are songs that exist basically only as musical quotations, their original verve completely sucked out of them and reduced to less than cliches now. The question is; if you were forced to hear the tune repeated over and over and over, for the rest of your entire existence, even into the afterlife if such a thing were to exist, which would you choose? The tune would only be audible to you inside your head and not be so loud as to make an average conversation impossible, but you will never be rid of it, not even in sleep or when listening to other music.

Sub-poll: how long do you think you could exist like this on earth before you jumped off a bridge?
Sub-sub-poll: what would be the most appropriate theme music for said jump?

I actually like the Battle Hymn of the Republic, and it would probably be less annoying sans lyrics, so I'll go with John Brown's Body.

Glory, glory,
What a helluva way to die,
Glory, glory,
What a helluva way to die,
And he ain't gonna jump no more

I'll take William Tell, at least it takes around 12 minutes to repeat so I won't lose my mind as fast.

I like Celine Dion myself. Her ballads alone....they make me go all teary-eyed and shit.

You could pretty much set my life story to Yakety Sax, so. That one.

Hawaiian War Chant, just to have something amusing to kill myself to after a week of going through my head.

Why draw it out? You think it won't happen eventually? I picked "Hava Nagila" just to get it over with, and to make it as amusing as possible.muse wrote:I'll take William Tell, at least it takes around 12 minutes to repeat so I won't lose my mind as fast.

Definitely "John Brown's Body" (aka "Battle Hymn of the Republic").
El Moose Monstero: That would be the winning song at Eurovision. I still say the Moldovans were more fun. And that one about the Apricot Tree.
That said...it is growing on me.
Thanas: It is one of those songs that kinda get stuck in your head so if you hear it several times, you actually grow to like it.
General Zod: It's the musical version of Stockholm syndrome.
