Hmm... you could do it anyways. Just import it to blender or some other 3D Programm, unwrap it and paint it. The object is not that complex and therefore actually quite good for a beginner. It might be a big large though.
Could look very nice when rendered with a real 3d Program.

Just checked, Blender wont export it. Now, if someone is interested in doing some texturing for me, that would rock my socks off.

You can export to 3ds or obj if you have the full version of sketchup. There are also ways to import free version files of sketchup to blender.

For those that asked for some kind of scale, here you go:
Image
Thats a Super Stardestroyer, the Titanus (my big ship) and the BC002 (my original concept drawing). SSD is roughly 17.5km, Titanus is 13.5km and BC002 is 3.5km long.

These don't scale right.

It was a quick job I did, didnt really bust out the calculator. You get the general idea though, hopefully.

Well, in the fiction, i have no idea what the function would be for. Technicaly, purely as an artistic exercise, the canards are there to bring visual weight/balance to the design.

These have a nice aggressive look, particularly in the side-elevations.

It looks a lot like one of the battlecruisers from StarCraft.

I like the hammerhead ship. The last one has an pointy, angular Orii feel (with the opening in the middle).

Nice

The hammerhead one is cool, but it looks too much like the big Klingon ships from DS9.

Cool. They remind me of the UNAN ships from the old Turning Point game, or some of the ships from Dream Pod 9's CORE Command RPG. Both fairly obscure, right enough.

The hammerhead one is darn close to the Terran Battlecruiser from Starcraft.

Nice though the last one needs more gravitic driver blades (the 'canards' and long plates aft of the engine nozzles in your other designs).

If that's not what they are, they can be phased array antennas or heat/neutrino radiators.

Or they can do all three :P
