Unfortunately, there will be no more Skyline GT-Rs produced, which is good, because the final incarnation was so damn good

I lost my pics of my car so the only ones left are two pics of the smashed corner of my car after I fell asleep from anti-nauseant meds I had taken.

Thanks for that, Lord Poe.
By the way, has anyone here ever driven a car with one of those big-ass air intakes or whatever they are? Seems to me like it'd get in the way of your vision, no?
Personally, I'm stuck with a '95 Ford Mondeo, with rust encroaching round the bottom of the doors, and since last Monday, no stereo

The most perfect car in the world for me will always be the 1977 Formula Firebird.

I replaced my car a couple of weeks ago; I was driving a 1989 2.0l Vauxhall Carlton sedan, which looked almost exactly like this;
but I now have a 1999 Volkswagen Passat 1.9 turbodiesel estate, which looks like this but in dark green;
Nothing fancy or impressive but it's spacious, comfortable and gets around 50 MPG at 70mph cruise (I seem to fill up the boot with computers and office equipment a lot). My partner is planning to ditch her mid 90s Polo and pick up a new Golf soon.

Say, do you want it to be a threesome with your wife? Or a foursome with your wife and sister-in-law? I'm up for either.

Oh, that's some nice shine on that one there. What kind of products do you use on your car? Wax/tire shine for exterior, whatever you use interior.
I've been just waxing with the stuff at the carwash, but I don't know if I do it right or not. And I use Armour All Tire Shine, with Armour All protectant on the dash after I clean it. The dash looks decent, the tires get dirty fast (can't be helped), but the wax only looks decent on the hood and other flat surfaces. The front fenders are always a little dull compared.

Turtle Wax Zip Wax. Wash, rinse, squeegee the windows & mirrors off. Vacuum the interior after each winter and wipe the dash & other plastic surfaces with a micro-fiber cloth. Clean the insides of the windows once or twice a year with Windex. Seriously, that's all we do. We don't wax my car, we don't polish it, and we've never used any tire care products. If it weren't for our allergies I don't think we'd even bother cleaning the insides of the car.Phantasee wrote:Oh, that's some nice shine on that one there. The C3 Corvettes until 1975 are the most beautiful cars ever. There is nothing, nothing more beautiful than that. Ferrari? Porsche? Bentley? Bah, bollocks I say, bollocks. The beauty and elegant lines of the 'Vette beats them all. Out of the 239,000 cars built during the outlined period, there is one which is waiting for me. I swear one I will day buy that Stingray and name her Eugenie, and she'll be one of the things I love most on this Earth.

What I drive: '02 Chevrolet Venture, a hand-me-down from when my dad died two years back: not much else to say really, it's basically a bland box on wheels. It was our only vehicle at the time, and since I was the only other family member who could drive it became mine by default. I wish it sucked less gas, although 24 MPG (imperial) average is still pretty good for a minivan. I'm not going to sell it though: It's completely paid off and has proven to be very reliable, so I'm not taking my chances with whetever used car I'd be able to by with the proceeds (and as a minivan, it has depreciated like a stone). Besides, I do find it's cargo capacity quite useful from time to time.
This is my project car, an '88 Mercedes 190E, 2.3L. It's in surprisingly good shape considering it's age and long dormancy out in the elements (I was able to start the engine with little difficulty after adding gas), though it's still going to take a lot of work to get into good working order. In my opinion it's quite attractive for an '80s car, and though it doesn't have a lot of power, at least it's rear-wheel drive, the way the Good Lord intended all cars to be
Anyway, I don't intend to keep it long after I'm done, but my brother wishes to buy it, so I'll be able to ensure my hard work is well taken care of.
And this, is the car I'm currently drooling over, but alas will never own, the redesigned 2008 Cadillac CTS. The design elements are much more unified than the first model, and it seems GM fixed everything wrong with the first generation (especially the interior) while improving upon what was right. It actually looks expensive without appearing gaudy the way a pimpmobile does. I've seen a few milling around my area (though this was the only one on the dealer lot), and I must say the LED "light pipes" on the headlights, taillights and interior look simply awesome at night. BMW does a similar effect with their taillights, but that pales in comparison to the overall lighting effects on this car. From tech-geek perspective however, what I find most cool is the top engine: while it's hardly the only six-pot of it's displacement to make 300 horsepower, it is the only one that can do so on regular unleaded gas.
