Steve, did the Serenity OST by any chance have the Ballad of Serenity in it because I've been looking for a version of it that doesn't contain the sound of the Serenity flyover sound effect.

No it doesn't, which enraged me.

I was very disappointed by the album, actually, it's got the actual parts used in the movie, making it very fragmented and not terribly good for just listening to.

The reprise of River's Theme as a triumphant, brawling fanfare brought a tear to my eye, though.

Walk Hard has a pretty good soundtrack.

I quite like the Doctor Who-soundtracks; there are some very nice pieces to be found.
Also Avatar grew to me; especially "War".

Aside from humour, most of my music collection is soundtracks. I recently got the Nixon soundtrack. The 1960's: The Turbulent Years is now my favourite piece of film music.

A good soundtrack should recreate the feel of the film. That's why I love the Caddyshack soundtrack. Put it on your iPod, you're Rodney Dangerfield and fun is imminent. :D
