"Hummel Gets the Rockets" - Hans Zimmer, The Rock

Well, mostly the first part. I dub it "Funeral March" or somesuch.

"Rock House Jail" - Hans Zimmer, The Rock

This whole thing is just awesome. One of the best heroic themes is in it, IMPO.

"Jablonsky Variation on a Theme by HZ and Cameron Border Post" - Steve Jablonsky and possibly Hans Zimmer (I don't have the CD case handy to check), Tears of the Sun

It's an odd title, but remember the final scene in that movie? With the SEALs and their party running like hell for the border? Yeah, it's that part.

"Barbossa Is Hungry" - Klaus Badelt, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl

I'm pretty sure it's that one. Anyway, a close contender to beat the Top Heroic Theme Award from "Rock House Jail".

And "Molossus" - Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard, Batman Begins is certainly growing on me, though it hasn't been around long enough to qualify yet.

There's more, but these come to mind first.

This is the price of war,
We rise with noble intentions,
And we risk all that is pure..." - Angela & Jeff van Dyck, Forever (Rome: Total War)

"On and on, through the years,
The war continues on..." - Angela & Jeff van Dyck, We Are All One (Medieval 2: Total War)
"Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that something else is more important than fear." - Ambrose Redmoon
"You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain." - Harvey Dent, The Dark Knight

Strangely enough 'I think therefore I rock and roll' by Ringo Starr. Its like smack or something.

Oh and 'Something' by The Beatles, though I'm also very fond or the Paul McCartney and Eric Clapton live version from the 'Concert for George' since it has the chorus repeated after the solo.

Hrmm. With me there's alot of Japanese stuff on the list. Though I think I'll start with the American bands first.

Pretty much anything off of Dream Theater's Scenes from a Memory album.

and. erm. that's about all I can think of for American stuff off the top of my head.

E Nomine - Mitternacht
VNV Nation - United States of Mind

Japanese Stuff

Pretty much the entire soundtrack/score from Iczelion.
Both Devil Hunter Yohko OSTs
All 5 Mobile Fighter G Gundam soundtracks. No particular song.
See-Saw - Obsession
Two-Mix - Rhythm Emotion (rave mix)
Copperia no Hitsugi - from the Noir soundtrack
Toki Hanate!, and Ai Ga Osietekureta - from the Blue Gender OST
Masquerade - Song played in the final episode of Tekkaman Blade.
It's Destiny - Tekkaman Blade II song

Zaia, it's sort of funny because "Scherezade" was the first thing I thought of when I saw the thread title! Musical minds think alike, I guess!

I guess I'll start with one and add as I think of them:

Art Blakey and the Jazz Messangers - Dat Dere
Music can name the un-nameable and communicate with the unknowable.
