You're not alone, Mrs K.
Why is it funny?
A Government founded upon justice, and recognizing the equal rights of all men; claiming higher authority for existence, or sanction for its laws, that nature, reason, and the regularly ascertained will of the people; steadily refusing to put its sword and purse in the service of any religious creed or family is a standing offense to most of the Governments of the world, and to some narrow and bigoted people among ourselves.

I asked The Lord, "Why hath thou forsaken me?" And He spoke unto me saying, "j00 R n00b 4 3VR", And I was like "stfu -_-;;"

Is there any ealier example of this than the clip from Indiana Jones ?
And its all because Harrison Ford didn't feel like doing a long sword fight when they filmed it (I think it was due to a cold, but I'm not sure)

Bad case of diarrhea, I believe... the Egyptian version of Montezeuma's Revenge. They originally planned to have this extended whip vs. sword fight, but Harrison was *not* feeling up to it, so he suggested just shooting him. Spielberg was like, 'Oooookayyyy...', but after they filmed it he loved it, so they kept that scene and ran with it...
It's a strange world. Let's keep it that way.
