Test your Hearing (musical intervals)

Post by Fleet Admiral JD »

Of musical intervals. This is a really simple test I wrote, to be followed by progressively harder ones (if there's interest) where I'll put in full chords instead of just simple harmonies as in this one.

The first tone you'll hear is a concert C, which the entire test is written in. This is followed by 7 two-note harmonies, and ends on a C major triad chord. So, if you PM me your answers, I'll tell you if you're correct, and I'll post answers here in a week or so, if there's enough interest. So, without further ado:

The First Test

Clarified the title, since we only just had a proper hearing test posted in this forum. And putting an ellipsis (an ellipsis? ellipses? whichever) in a thread title is just fucking annoying, dude. Happy holidays! :D

Those are always fun. Have you ever checked out the ear-training exercises at Teoria (dot) com?
