LEGO car factory

Someone built and filmed an all-lego car factory. Nothing special, right? It's just a model of an assembly line. Except...

it actually builds tiny little Lego cars. It's based on a few Mindstorms sets (remind me to get one of those!) and it's absolutely amazing how the whole thing works so well. I wish this sort of thing existed back when I was playing with Legos.

If you check the comments, you will notice this comment by the person who posted the video:
Due to the interest here some facts:

Costs: 3000 Euros
Time we needed to build this machine: 2000 hours
Built by the robotik group of the VHG, a German grammar school in lower Bavaria.
Though I don't actually have any idea about what age children are taught at a grammar school.

Holy bananas!

Well that's why they build BMW in Germany.

If memory serves, a 'grammar school' is a Protestant private high school.

Wow. That is awesome. I was wondering to what speed they could increase production...

Yea, it's too bad he already tore it all down for a new project...

This person made one, although it's not as complex as Babbage's design (that's where the super challenge comes in).

I am so impressed by this, this renews my faith in the human race.

Now, what I wouldn't give for one of those... or at least a higher-quality video...
