Enemy Soldier [3D Model]

I just finished this high poly model of an enemy soldier for a game. I´ll use it to burn the normal maps to a low poly model.
I´m not happy yet with the helmet. Got to put some more work into it.

He´s posed like this, with his arms stretching out because i´m going to rig him for animation and that´s the pose that´s best suited for that, just in case you´re wondering.

What do you think?

The textures are just sloppy trown together procedurals which should illustrate what he could look like later. He´ll probably look completely different though texturewise.

I actually like the helmet, looks like a bug. Overall I think it looks pretty decent.

He's got a major crotch bulge. Like he's packing major heat between his legs.

The helmet seems front-heavy and too narrow at the bottom. Also, yu may want to color his neck the same as the gloves to give the appearance of a sealed bodystocking.

But I really like the overall appearance.

Nice and clean, but the upper body is a tad slimline for a solider.

That was my main gripe - too slim. I suppose if you're putting kit over the top, that may be fine...

I'm guessing he has his priorities right and has a bullet proof cup :D

Here´s the normal mapped version. The Highpoly had 40 000 Polys the low poly is at 3900. Next i´ll add folds and scratches to the normal map.

My first reaction was: "Wow, can people DO that stuff all by themselves?"

My second reaction was, as someone mentioned earlier, that he is very slender for being a soldier buy. If you mentally strip hon of his clothes and armour, he would be built like an elf.

Perhaps yopu should consider putting some drapes and folds on his clothes. If you look at a photo of a dressed person, most clothes are full of folds and tucks and creases. It's quite easy to draw, so it probably wouldn't be too hard to sculpt either, if you're good enough to make a model like that in the first place.

Good luck!

Yes, the folds will be put on when i work on the normal map (The normal map is the thing that causes the model s surface to seem like it´s 3D when in reality it´s not). That´s the next thing. There lies still a lot of work in this model.
