Shep's Fragalicious day yesterday (56k die 63 pics inside!)

So I went to that most american weekend tradition yesterday:
A Gunshow!
Yet using my sooper sekrit ninja skillz I was able to bring you top secret imagery of the inside!
Behold, the general breeding ground of AmericanusWhitusGuyus!
Of course, there was enough firepower in there to equip I think, the entire British Army (after MoD Cuts) with at least two sidearms and two rifles, plus swords, knives and bayonets as well.
I think Einy would love this one. Too bad it costs $3,600.
And of course, a bunch of evil .50 caliber rifles, along with some FN P90s as well.
Civilian Legal, Semi Auto version.
Class III SBR/Automatic version
Yeek.
The BEST class 3 dealer there, with the biggest selection (belt fed machine guns, heavy machine guns, etc) wouldn't allow pictures to be taken of his wares; but I can tell you, that the average price for a M-16 or AK-47 that was automatic was $2,000 or so; with the belt fed stuff going into the $10,000+ range.
AUG away for only $16 k!
No price on this, I think it was a inoperative replica. But if you can't recognize this shame on you!
The famous MP-5 "hidden gun in a briefcase" complete with the trigger on the handle! Yours for only $50,000!
Browning 1919 and MG34 on one table.
Now, before you start thinking you can buy machineguns at a gunshow and walk away with them, you're WRONG. They're all classified as Class 3s; which means they can only be sold from one Class 3 license holder to another Class 3 license holder, plus a $200 tax transfer fee. Then you have to wait for all the damn paperwork to clear between the ATF and everyone, which can take quite a while. The only thing changing hands is an agreement to buy one.
A lot of exhibitors bought their dogs along to sit in the booths with them. Warfle.
There was also a Glock Authorized Gunsmith at one of the booths, meaning you could have your pistol tuned up while you shop.
One of the most wanked out guns I've seen.
Blue plastic practice guns were there too, expensive tho.
Virginia State Senator for office! Yey!
There were about 3 cops circulating throughout the gunshow openly in uniform, and I bet a few undercover cops were there too...
Hey Lonestar! These guys keep you safe!
Even the Duchess' favorite group was there! Lets hunt Lions!
But came the most SHOCKING SHOCKING surprise of all!
PROOF THAT VYMPEL IS A EVIL HEARTLESS MUNITIONS DEALER!
Cheapest gun I found, but then again, I wasn't looking too hard....
Boobalicious.
The NRA was there of course.
But before you think that gunshows are all about selling ruthless evil pieces of metal which steal people's lives....
Coins were there!
A Playstation 3 for sale next to a pistol! God bless America.
Something for the wimminfolk too!
Awesome wood models for sale.
StG-44 replica.
General Groves' Aide, damnit, I forget his name, and his signature is hard to make out. Anyway, he was part of the team which escorted the Bomb from Los Alamos to Tinian; and also was part of the team which went around Europe in '45 to interview nazi A-bomb scientists.
"Dutch" van Kirk, the Navigator of the Enola Gay on the Hiroshima Mission, signing my B-29 Pilot's Manual Reprint.
Colonel Wesley L. Fox, USMC (Ret), Medal of Honor Recipient You can read about him here
Railroad wrenches; used to change out wheels etc.
This was on sale for $750. Want it?
There was also some militaria on sale.
Bet you 95% of it is fake.
They did have some nice stuff there.
A real life photograph of Frank Hipper!
WWI postcard from Germany commemorating the Sinking of the Armored Cruisers, $38
WWI postcard from Germany with a random Kaiserlichmarine officer on the front, $45.
There was also a deactivicated munitions dealer there:
I'd love to have this as a table leveller. Scare the shit out of people
Range Ruler for 105mm Howitzer.
Card says
WORKING MODEL FOR BRITISH ARTICULATED FORTRESS GUN CIRCA 1800. CAST IRON, CANNON BARREL HAS SIX TRUNNIONS. MAKER UNKNOWN.
After the Gunshow, I tootled around Northern Virginia, and visited Lonestar and we got drunk together at a bar, before I drowned him in a pile of his own vomit....
....
Actually no, this picture is from Summer '06 when Ace visited us in DC.
Just making sure if you were paying attention.
I went and visited the NRA HQ and it's National Firearms Museum.
*play evil suspense music*
Broomhandle Mauser carbines.
Most complete collection of Winchester Model 70 Pre 1964s.
This Punt was on sale for $3,800 at the gunshow.
Punt Gun at the NRA Museum. It was fecking huge.
Mmm. 100 birds at once. HABtastic.
Dirty Harry's Pistol!
Gun that was apparently recovered from the WTC wreckage.
I then went to a nearby Game Parlor in Chantilly, and saw that they were having an adoption day at the local petstore in that shopping center, so went in.
Adopt one of these cuties!
Doggie Day Care inside the Store. Warfle!
*snore*
I then visited a hobby store and got these all for $21 dollars each. You may commence hating me now.
Taken this morning, Bruce monopolizes my bed after I've woken up.
