Forum Rules

When posting into this forum, please be follow these guidelines.

Do not inline link (i.e. use img tags) images wider than 600 pixels or larger than 75kb. Images beyond these limits should be linked, or better, posted with thumbnails that link to the full-size image. The width restriction is to prevent threads from being widened to the point that horizontal scrolling is necessary to read any subsequent discussion. The size restriction is due to the fact that some people are still stuck with dialup.

Do not quote inline images. It serves no purpose and can widen the thread as each quote is indented.

Criticize original artwork constructively. When criticizing original artwork, be mindful of the fact that high-quality CG, illustrations and drawings take a considerable amount of skill and time to create. Dismissing original work with comments such as 'it sucks' is rude and non-constructive. If something is awful, say why or say nothing. Pictures not created by the original poster are fair game and may be treated with any degree of respect they deserve.

This is not the forum for heavyweight incendiary discussions on politics, religion or similar matters. This guideline is somewhat soft but in general images posted for the intention of starting a debate should be posted into the other forums. A&P is more for discussion, appreciation, criticism, and/or flaming of visual works. Threads which drift into debate territory will be split or moved into the proper forum.

Don't try to pass off others' work as your own. When posting original artwork, all materials created by others must be credited. This does not apply to concession pix and other texted funny pix where it's pretty much assumed that bits and pieces have been filched from elsewhere, but for pure creative works all components not created by the poster must be credited.

Insulting or flaming board participants is strongly discouraged and will be locked or HOSed.

There are to be no beauty pagaent type contests. This is a direct result of the Aphrodite contest. Any attempt to do so will be deleted.

No posting pictures or links to pictures of other people from this board with out their permission. This is also a result of the Aphrodite contest.

For the clueless, the any picture showing anyone more scantily clad than a bathing suit, must be marked not work safe. If it's in the OP, putting such in the title is fine. Otherwise, it must be linked[/list]

Thank you Dalton.

Now, Enlightenment's rules stay. They are good rules. As I think of new ones, I will add them.

If anyone has any questions, need a place to host pics, etc., please PM me and I will see what I can do.

Also, if you have an image that is too large, you can always PM me and I can resize the image for you.

And last, but definitely not least, if your thread has been hijacked or anyone sees any unacceptable behavior/language/pics/etc., PM me immediately and I will get to it as soon as possible.

Remember people, some read this forum on 800x600 screens over a 56k connection. 600 - 650 pixels wide max, and no more than 75kb for inlined images.

Only a temporary change until Beowulf comes back...hello, gentle people.

Don't mind the giant chain-whip of doom.

Why does no one ever pay attention to the damn width limitations on the pictures? Why? For the love of god, someone please tell me! It's not as if it's difficult to make sure it's not too large.

Why do I even bother reminding people about this? It's not as if they pay any attention.

You know what? Screw it. Go ahead, inline pics 24,000 pixels wide. I don't care.
