Ignore the video, but its one of my favourite covers - Tom Jones doing Black Betty.

While I think of it Tom Waits's cover of Hi-Ho from Snow White is pretty scary, in a good way.

I really enjoy Dope's cover of 'You Spin Me Round'. There are also several good ones on Nativity In Black.

The OP video sure put a smile on my face.

TOOL's version of Led Zeppelin's "No Quarter". In my opinion, it is better than the original.

A truely god like cover IMHO, also for some good covers listen to Radio 1 on a friday afternoon, The Live Lounge, there have been some crackers like Stereophonice singing Nothing Compares To You,

Marilyn Manson seems to do a lot of covers, further enforcing my idea that Marilyn Manson is just a goth version of Girls Aloud.

Cradle of Filth are more of a goth version of Girls Aloud, MM is more like a goth version of Eminem.

I suppose, I did like CoF's cover of Temptation.

Faith No More's cover of War Pigs is one of the best.

Oh. Why the hell would someone do that? I admit, I didn't actually listen to the music. I saw the beginning of the video, and I thought "screw that, they lied, it's not actually CoB, I don't want to hear it". Bah, I'll give you false metaller *shakes fist* .

Metallica's cover of "Turn the Page" ranks among one of the best covers ever done.

Right up there with it in Johnny Cash's cover of "Hurt" by Nine Inch Nails. If you don't agree, here is what Trent Reznor said when he heard Cash's cover. "I pop the video in, and wow ... Tears welling, silence, goose-bumps ... Wow. I just lost my girlfriend, because that song isn't mine anymore."

Also, Sad Kermit's cover of "Hurt" is just about as good as Cash's, in a different way.

I agree on Johnny Cash's Hurt cover. A haunting song.

Cash made other fantastic covers as well. I'm about the biggest Springsteen fanboy there is, but what Cash did with "Further on (up the road)" is fantastic- better than the original.

I also put forward Jeff Buckley's cover of "Hallelujah", originally by Leonard Cohen.

Jimi Hendrix covering Bob Dylan's All Along the Watchtower.

I like Motley Crue's cover of Helter Skelter much more than I like the original Beatles version.

The Red Hot Chilli Peppers' cover of Stevie Wonder's Higher Ground kicks ass. It's also the reason I don't like Chilli Pepper's current tendnancy to do a bunch of slow songs.

Same song live on Late Night With David Letterman.

There also used to be a version of them doing the song live on Arsenio.
