This is a website dedicated to the works of Evgeny Borisovitch Scheglov (1927-1991), a very famous Soviet cartoonist who drew illustrations of daily life around him and his neighbors. Fascinated with children, he also dedicated 2 albums to them, "About the big and the small" and "Attention, children!" :)

I have several magazines with his cartoons from olden times. Now I found this website which is maintained by his son and houses lots of his works. It's of particular interest because of the focus on daily life and not on politics or major social events as most cartoonists do.

The names of the pictures are rather simple to translate and a Babelfish easily and correctly translates most of them.

Hope you enjoy it :)

They Remind me of something you would see in a children's book more than anything. Thanks for posting.
