I made the background in Blender and drew the girl on regular pencil and paper, then added the lines and color in Photoshop. It didn't exactly turn out that great. Too... Incongruous, maybe?

I hate to be like this, but I recommend not blending 2D and 3D art unless you're really, really experienced. Even I wouldn't be comfortable trying. It's extremely hard to get right.

The picture is very cute though, I like the expression on the witch :).

I like how each piece turned out on its own. The witch is great, and the background phenomenal, but the two detract from each other.

I like both, just not together.

Even without what's been mentioned already, I think that the witch could use some more muted tones in colour. The red is a little bright, and could probably gravitate a little further toward maroon or wine-coloured. All in all, it's not terrible, but could use some work.

Yeah, I know. I actually meant to ask for advice on how to combine the two in the OP but neglected to do so.

Eh, the witch didn't turn out so great, but thank you.

Thanks for the comments, everybody. :D

I agree. The witch looks cool, the background looks cool, but witch + background != cool.

The plain matt white wings are a little dull. Translucent or patterned would be more visually interesting. But yes nice expression.
