STS-117 Launch!

With literally only minutes to spare, me and a band of hardy computer science & engineering people (plus one biology girl) managed to get to Cocoa Beach to watch the launch of the Space Shuttle Atlantis for mission STS-117.
All shots taken with a Digital Rebel XTi and a Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 lens. Lessons learned: need good tripod and much longer lens. Also, figure out how to clean the lens without having the cleaner smeared all over it, and get protective and circular polarizer filters.
