Not sure were I should put this cause it is fan wank. Anyways, for an rp ive been working for several years on a non-canon world and a non-canon fleet.

Anyways, would all of you be willing to critique it for me? I know I am missing a lot of things but I also know that I dont know exactly what all they are.

Did you make up all those ships yourself?

-The numbers were inspired by WEG, right? While they may not be "inconsistant," keep in mind that WEG often understates things too much. The 826 meter Berrol-class carrier should be able to hold more than 7 squadrons of ships. In real life, a ~300 meter aircraft carrier can hold over 80 planes, and those are the same size if not bigger than SW fighters. Even WEG ships like the 500 meter Escort Carrier can hold 6 squadrons.

-Why does the Berrol-class carrier have a long, unnecessary landing strip, with a transparent ceiling?

-If you're going to make the Siege Perilous 326 meters, then just call it a frigate, not a "Dreadnaught."

-If those capital ships are supposed to be several hundred meters long, then those bridges would have to be really huge to be visible. A lot of these look more like starfighter or light ship designs to me.

[/nitpick] I believe you want your shipyards to be called Blitzkrieger, not Blitzkreiger. Kreig is not a word in German.

EDIT

I agree with Jim Raynor's suggestion as well, and would also suggest a better location for this thread would be in AMP or OSF.

Seconded.

I see lots of tables with text and numbers, but no ship pics... Now if there arn't any, and all it is is text, I guess thats ok... But, still, ships are neat.

Yes while I did 'make them myself' the ideological process involved evolved them from star wars vessels down to their current size. The actual pictures, well, they were the best that i could find were I actually was able to get permission to use.

A for the reason its called a dreadnaught is that its an old term. At one time they were the biggest vessels in the fleet.

As for the carrier, you make a good point on the number of fighters, how many would be a good ammount?

As for the picture, once again it is the best i could get permission to use, as well as I actually like it. Its a support vessel rather than one which primary duty is on the front lines.

Originally concieved, I intended that it sit on the edge of a system and launch fighter support for the rest of the fleet. As well as an Ammo/refuling depot for the larger ships. Especially considering that one of the weapon systems utilized uses consumable ammo.

Edit: http://groups.msn.com/CaleighRoyalNavy/ ... class.msnw shows the picture of one, just click on the others theres.

The name is intentionally misspelled, literary liscense if you will.
