Cool.
Which walker did you base that on? I've seen a few cockpits like that...

Wow, it looks like some of the smaller walkers from Dark Empire.

Nice.

About how big is this? And are the weapons going to be mounted on those side pods, exclusively, or anything slung under the main chassis, like the AT-ST?

Jumper? You mean this thing'll be bouncing around the battlefield? *chuckle*

I like it!

So it jumps?

Give it four legs then

No no...
Than it locks like a Frog :?

It has powerful Repulsors and Thrusters to get a high'n'wide Jump
and a smouth landing...

Hmm, sounds inefficient.

And a speeder or a repulsor sled, or a Chariot Lav wouldn't do the same job better because...?

...You're notoriously and admittedly moronic? More likely it's some browser issue in this case.

What military application makes jumping better than running? It would actually suit the role of an up-armoured AT-ST (it certainly appears to have more rear space in the cabin and much thicker armour). If it got rid of the glow in its slit and pushed the front plate forwards to remove the overhang around the "face", it would be a natural replacement for the old AT-ST with better survivability (effectively removing the main defects in the present one).

Just expanding on that, if you mount the chin guns of the original on one of the side turrets and say a slightly larger grenade launcher on the other side, you could mount Anti-personnel blasters in two small turrets under the chin (think the blaster that popped out of the MF in Hoth base before it escaped - but twin barrels on each turret), that means that your Anti-vehicle/area suppression weapons are set on your axis, and your Anti-personnel light blasters can harrass troops off-axis and totally independantly. In every Company of 10 you could have 2 that have the Guns from the King Raptor mounted on their tops (scaled so they don't overhang too much) and they could be the heavy back-up firepower for that Company of vehicles (though their troop carriage capacity is reduced with the mags for those big guns).

What military application makes jumping better than hovering, for that matter? Anything that flies could cover the height/terrain issuse that might make jumping useful (asides from parking on Mimas, anyway).

Useful for getting over pesky barricades. Also, a sort of 'strafe jet' maneuver would be useful in firefights.

Ah, something based off the Glaug Officer's Battle Pod. I thought it looked familiar. Someone have a little Khyron fixation?

Someones been playing a lot of Quake3. :D

Seriously though, the clearing obstacles part is great, but having the whole concept revolve around the jumping seems silly, having it able to jump when neccesary is fine though, and I suspect the original AT-ST could manage something similar (though I doubt it would win many High-Jump medals :P ).

Whatever he decides to do with it, it looks like it should have a slightly wider body section (the part the legs are attached to) and stance, it's seems too narrow as is.

I was thinking more along the lines of Steel Battallion.

Or the Jump jets in the MechWarrior series (which don't require a remortgage to buy a controller to play the game :D ). I had an idea what you meant, but I couldn't get the image of Quake3 players jumping around out of my head and the AT-AJ in their place just made too funny a mental image.

Yez...

It is more like a Mech with Jumpjets...

They only jump when it must...

Over walls, seas, or whatever...

Don't worry, you're posting in a foreign language, so you're doing better than I would. Plus you gave me an oportunity to make a silly joke, so it's all to the good. :D
Now get back to slaving over a graphics package so we may look at more prety pictures of destructive hardware.
