It's a robot... in disguise! (Movie TF toys)

Didn't know where to put this, so move if necessary.

Movie Transformers! I bumped into the toys today and just couldn't resist. These'll look nice next to my Alternators Windcharger and Classics Cliffjumper.

First up, Legends Barricade. This one actually about Matchbox size, with a very simple transformation and very few joints. I mainly got him because together with Bumblebee it made an even €20.

Like a Matchbox car, only in plastic. The front is done very nicely for such a small toy.

It's the hunchback of Cybertron! I actually didn't manage to get him to stand upright. The arms are in one piece, too, so he doesn't really do much apart from looking like he broke his spine.

Then, Bumblebee. He's a Deluxe and came with two spring-loaded rocket launchers. They can fit under his chassis so I might keep them, but they look a bit silly.

He looks a bit squashed, actually.

Yes, his feet really are that big. This one uses a sping-loaded bit where you press a button on the bonnet to make the grill fold down, but it's a bit stiff, so either you can't get it to unlock without force, or you can't get it to lock and the whole car snaps in odd positions when the grill all of a sudden folds down. I hope it loosens up after a while.

I like how it looks more or less like a simpler version of the movie character, which I suppose is the best you can hope for in a toy. Cool stuff - possibly cooler when you're ten, but I'm young at heart.

I like how his license plate forms a codpiece.

A psychologist could have a field day with that.

You can't see it when it's in car form, though. It's a bit of a cheat.
