Well in this thread I said I would focus on scout ship, so this is that design (though I've not been able to give as much time as I would have liked), remember this is a work in progress so all suggestion are welcomed (if constructive ofc).

So what are the projections on either side for? Why are they so long?
It looks like a cross between an Ilrath ship from Star Control 2 and a trident fighter from Ulysses 31. The black paint and red cockpit lighting is actually relatively justifiable, but unfortunately it comes off as a failed attempt to look badass.

you mean the wings by any chance (this is one actually needs those as it's not meant for deep space only)Starglider wrote:So what are the projections on either side for? Why are they so long?

Presumably but why are they shaped like that? No real-world aircraft has wings like that because (AFAIK) they make no aerodynamic sense, plus they're a structural nightmare, so why have them?Lord Revan wrote:you mean the wings by any chance (this is one actually needs those as it's not meant for deep space only)
Does it use some sort of anti-grav for atmospheric flight? Seems kinda un-aerodynamic.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.
Hit it.
