Zaia's castle gets first dibs b/c of it's epic-ness. More to come once my throat stops burning!

Sweet man, sweet. While I'm tempted to ask for the stuff havokeff drew for me to come next, I think some of his gunpowder Romans would look absolutely incredible in full, shiny colour.

No prob. I'll get started on em tomorrow. No guarantees though, because I'm learning as I go (This was my first shot at coloring something).

I liked the grass and dirt path the way it was... why'd you change it?

Bleh, it didn't really work out. I'll try and patch it back in.

That's awesome work there. Looks like havokeff's stuff is fun to colour...

Actually, it's a pain in the ass

Nah, it's just time consuming b/c of all the detail he put in.

I like the vast improvement of a castle sketch that was good to begin with (although I prefered havokeff's character drawings) - Zaia's castle and surrouding landscape has a lot more depth, detail and perspective...

How do you put in the color?

Burn or Multiply color layers?

At least I'll get a reputation around here :P I don't think I'll have time to do a lot of stuff because I'm heading off to college next week. I'll probably end up doing 1-2 a week if I have time.

I duplicated the original and set the duplicate on top of the original and put the setting to "Multiply". I just sandwiched all the coloring in between the two. I also fiddled with contrast and color balance.

Of course, I couldn't let this gem go uncolored:

Something feels wrong about the facial colors. I dunno. I'll work something out the next time I color a face.

That's just glorious, but the standards the elephants are carrying look like they need some color too, along with the last two elephants (obscured by the commander's arm).

You know everytime i see that, I think of the LOTR scene where Faramir and the southern Rangers watch Easterlings and Oliphants march past. In fact that what i thought it was at first until i noticed the Romans in the foreground :)

Right. I'll get on that and do a repost.
