That is pretty damn cool. I give it an 8. I have to tell you though, when I read the words "turkey cake", I feared for the future of humanity.

Why did that lass have a helmet on? Was there a potential for explosions? :)

Nice cake, by the by. what's next? a Tracy Island cake? That would be
amazing :D

I've seen Marshmellows used to make the head and neck of a turkey-shaped cake before

I give it an 8. Using the candycorn, candy pumpkins, and M&Ms for decoration was inspired!

Thank you. I thought they were very fitting to the design of the cake.

What is this Iron Chef of which you speak?

Its a tv show on the food network. On one episode Trout Ice Cream was made.

My favorite thing about it, is that the rear view reminds me of a Russian N-1 heavy-lift rocket...

You're not supposed to eat the fondant. :P I didn't think it was that expensive if you made it yourself.

Udder Delight Ice Cream House near DC does flavours like bacon and bbq. They've tried making crab ice cream, but all hundred plus attempts have failed.

Mmm.. Candy corn. It's one of the few food from the states I miss. The first handful or two tastes so good. After that, it's just disgustingly sweet.

The only thing that makes a cake good is the frosting. Why use something that is by definition just for looks unless it adds some flavor to the cake? if it is eatable it should taste good enough to eat. If you can't eat it in the amounts that ends up on a slice of cake then it is a waste of the suger it is made of.

My 2 cents.

Fondant is edible, folks. All it is is a candy coating.
See the wiki page for more information on the uses of fondant.

Personally, I'm like my mother. I'd rather use royal icing or butter cream.

I know fondant is edible, I was just always told you didn't. It's sort of like if you buy a cake and there are real flowers on it, you can eat those too, but you generally don't.

Gave it a 10. Seriously it looks awsome, how long did it take to make it?

This one took me 2 hours to decorate. Because i baked the Cake in a pyrex bowl and a pair of pie plates I only had to make 3 cuts and then put the cake together.

My family has been making a turkey cake for over ten years, since we've got a shitload of late-November and early-December birthdays. You're not the first to think of the idea. :P A picture of last year's cake is here. I think I like the shape of yours a lot better.

I never claimed to be the first. You like the cake well its was easy to make just bake the cake a 9 in pie pan an 8 in pie pan and a 1 1/2 quart pyrex glass bowl.

Cut to size, frost, decorate, done.

I'm afraid I can only give you an 8. For me, no 3-D head was a bit of a letdown. Its an awesome cake, but there should be SOMETHING there.

Like the good Captain, I too can only give the cake an 8 for the lack of a head, however, since the girl in the photo rides a motorcycle, or at least a scooter, you received a bonus point for having a cool friend that you made the cake for.
Overall score: 9 :D
