Knowing I know I can't draw, I edit and modify other stuff to fit together and make new artwork.

I put this Portrait together in a couple hours last night. I'll probably use her for a character when I buy Icewind Dale II, as I've got too many BGII characters I probably wont be able to use for IWDII's 3rd ed rules (am I the only person who thinks class kits are a total necessity for a computer RPG?):



I'll give a cookie to whoever can identify whom the face is from. Two cookies to whoever can identify who/what the rest of the pic is from, and whoever can proove I did/didn't use more than two pics to make this... maybe I'll make a portrait for them. Or just give them three cookies.

Spanky The Dolphin is not included in this game of guessing, as he is a bastard, and does not appreciate the art of making RPG portraits.

Yes, but you do not fully appreciate the true art in the care and effort of role-pleying game portraits, as you are one of those non-gaming types that they warn us about in grade school.

I would guess, but I know I would be wrong.

I would, however, like to know where you got the pictures. I want to make some portraits as well.

To be honest I haven't a clue, but if I had to guess, I'd say someone from Escaflowne.

Is the rest of the picture from Lodoss War?

Face = Asuka

Body = Deedlit

Hair = ???

Actually, I think i know which pic's you used as sources, but I'll be damned if I'm gonna dig 'em out of my archives.

The hair's gotta be a combination of both pics... the bangs from Asuka, and the rest from deed, but trimmed by how you cropped the pic.

anyhow, just my observation on the matter.

The hair is from the original Asuka picture, btw. It was just composed in such a way that he could just crop the rest out, making her hair look short.

Damn, I could have gotten it back in my first post.

Now tell Utsano to get his pale white ass on AiM so he can tell me where to find good Lodoss War pictures for portraits.

I'm back. Sorry I took so long in responding, and that I had to use Spanky to respond and dish out cookies (he wouldn't let me use his computer, but rest assured, I was sitting on his bed, dictating responces ).

Yes, it's entirely Asuka's head, including a cell drawing (I think) of Deedlit's armor, and finally a third pic was used for the cape (some kind of water colors or pastels, I'd say. Totally different style than the armor; I had to do alot of tweaking to change it's texture and lighting).

Edited picture. Redid right side of hair, changed contrast on armor, smoothed out edges, etc.

Ought to post some new portraits I did.
