"Three men in another boat" soundtrack question

I was watching Three Men In Another Boat and, as happens with documentaries, it uses bits of movie soundtracks as background music. One of these pieces - a grand, orchestral, adventure-like score - was used for a scene where a sailboat with three cranky middle-aged men heads out to sea.

I tried recreating the main theme of it, but it's been years since I studied proper music theory so the pitch and tempo are probably off. Still, I hope someone recognises this - just imagine it played by an orchestra with a focus on horns and strings. I'm almost certain it's part of a well-known motion picture soundtrack, I just can't for the life of me remember which one.

Sounds just a bit like the Love Theme from the Godfather, but that might be influenced by the fact that I've been listening to that soundtrack a lot lately.

I think it's more recent. Also, think grand and sweeping - it's definitely a score you'd use for something majestic, but you can't really squeeze that feeling out of MIDI.

Well, it was on the program again, so maybe I can find it in the credits somewhere - except the BBC now crams it's end titles into a little box
