Proof from Star Wars
Likewise, every politial event is improved via the Imperial March.
Dobbie is inaugurated
Anyway, even more proof of Soviet Tankmen's march improving things; here's some firepower demos of commie shit firing at shit:

Whatever you might say about the commies, they certainly had more style than we ever did.
Slightly off-topic: That Soviet Anthem really outdoes most Western ones.

I think it's a case of different style more than more style. Exotic and different is usually more enticing than traditional and mundane.

I'm not impressed. Sure, the style is good, but the recordings are old.

That's an old march, man
But yes, those songs were cool. Most of them are in Russia's golden musical fund, and greatly enjoyed by the people, especially the Great Patriotic War ones and those about peaceful life from older movies.
March of Tankists, 1938 version wrote:The armour's strong and tanks are fast and rolling
And our men are full of fortitude
They stay in line, the Soviet gallant tankmen
The sons of their majestic Motherland
Refrain:
In flashes of fire and cold steel glitter
The tanks will start their furious attack
When sent to fight by comrade Stalin
And Voroshilov'll take us to combat!
The work of plants and kolkhoz fields' labour
We will protect, defending our land
With striking force of our gunned towers
By speed and frenzyness of fire
Refrain.
So let this foe, in ambush hide, remember -
We are alert, we look after the enemy of ours
We would not take a footstep of others' land
But won't allow to take a single inch from us
Refrain.
And if a seasoned enemy will enter,
He will be beaten here and everywhere!
And then the drivers will fire up the starters,
And run in woods, and mounds and mires
Refrain.

My favorite martial song from Russia has to be On the March/ On the Road (title varies, I've got two different .mp3s). I fell in love with it when it's played at the end of the World at War episode Red Star, being the situation by the end of the "deep" stage of the Great Patriotic War (post-Kursk victory, liberation of various areas) - ie. wonderfully appropriate for the Red Army rolling West.

I believe that "The March of the Soviet Tankmen" should become the anthem for
every mechanized unit, regardless of nationality. It's just that cool.

The totalitarians certainly knew how to make music; there are some fairly good Nazi pieces (purely musically speaking, of course) as well, if I recall correctly.
Just for the fun of it: Did the Italians have any decent marches in the war?

Especially when one finds out what the lyrics mean; let's compare:
US National Anthem: Oh say can you see, by the dawn's early light?
Soviet National Anthem: Unbreakable union of freeborn republics,
By Great Russia united, forever to stand! United and mighty, our Soviet land!
Which inspires you more?
