Sadly, it looks like I'm an average American. I didn't get it at all.

It's all these stereotypes. Road Warrior, Crocodile Dundee, Koalas, etc all being used to get all rah rah rah! for the bank in question. It's basically showing what Americans know about Australia, and the idea we would have for making an exciting ad for them. I thought it was funny too.

I LEIKed it. Was that the actual actor of Crocodile Dundee? Or did they just pick a generic gruff Australian mang?

No, the actual actor of Crocodile Dundee (Paul Hogan) looks way older than this now.

I found this ad funny the first time, but too long. It was played during the cricket over breaks and always cut into the next over. This ad set the groundwork, but the follow up ads were funnier, like the guy making the crack about cricket being invented before elbows. I like cricket, but it is a strange sport.

It was interesting that CBA had this ad lined up a ready to go the week they announced a rate hike higher than the one mandated by the Federal Reserve.
