Okay. I have compiled a muxtape of "an introduction to industrial metals (sort of)" and you suckers had better appreciate it. As a genre, it's easy to do badly, but I think I've got a superlative collection here. It gets heavier in descending order. The top load pretty much everyone should be able to enjoy, The Amenta et al are for those who like their adrenaline.

The first one genuinely surprised me, coming from you. Do you listen to it when you want to fall asleep?

I might make something for particularly obscure glam or psychedelic music after finals in a few weeks.

It's from Quake 2 and it's fucking awesome.

That soundtrack and that song in particular were some of my first exposures to metal, and it still stands as far as I'm concerned.

And despite listening to a lot of fast stuff, I probably like slow, rocky and doomy stuff a lot more. It seems more satisfying for whatever reason.
