Due to Simplicus's advice, I'm making a new Photography thread so as to reduce bandwidth overload.

The First Thread is HERE.

So, let's get this started with My trip to Chile, South America.
This was supposed to be my parent's wedding anniversary trip, whilst I dehydrated in the middle of the desert. However, the day before the morning flight (A Friday no less), while I was in the middle of cleaning up "blockage" in our toilet/shower plumbing I found that I'd recieved a bombardment of messages "D, want to go to Chile with me?".
Turns out that with everything prebooked, the day before the flight my dad needed to cancel due to business matters. So, I ended up taking a cab (the buses didn't work on weekends) from the middle of the desert to my house, I packed over the night and in the morning flew off to Chile. (I actually took an hour or two to deliberate, as it meant missing some awesome things in my service year, including a week as a drill instructor in an army camp for a bunch of american conscr-tourists. But that's another story).
At any Rate, I flew off for 2 weeks to one of the most amazing trips of my life, the only possible marring in it being: A)The stuff I was missing in the meantime. and B) Stuffing the DSLR into the wrong suitcase and only having a compact with less than 2 Gigs of memory with me.

Photos from my 8 day pre-army hike in England. I did one half (About 90 miles - around 14-20 miles a day) of the full Coast to Coast hike. We spent most of it going through the LAke district, although the shots which aren't on Grey, rainy (Very rainy) days are either out of the lake district or in London :).
I'd recommend it very much to anyone interested, and if anyone here seriously wants to do it (partial or full) then send me a PM and I might join ya ;).

Bah, Next time, More posts even if it's of the same place/trip/subject.
Last upload before I start another new (Leaner, newer) thread:

Pictures from Israel's 60th Independence day! (There was a big Naval flotilla including every private ship docked in the Herzliya harbour, we were invited but missed the boat, so we watched it from the shore).
If anyone's interested, I have 2-3 additional shots of the Submarine, Navy ships and the helicopter ;).
Image
Ships sail on.
Yes, not enough details, especially of the submarine and the big-ass (By israeli standards ;)) Navy ship.
My faith in my dad as an ex-Captain was a bit hard hit when he said "I didn't know we had ships that big in the navy these days" :P.

I like the DOF in this shot, although more of a closeup would have benefited.
[Yes, I forgot to crop the dad's hand. It still works somehow...]

Image
Yes, Yes, this shot isn't anywhere near as good as most of its type. Maybe a long shutter time for a foam like effect...

Another attempt at the artistic "fence in the sea" shot. Better angle here I think, it works better, despite feeling less interesting composition wise ti me.

Image
Dog at a barbecue ("Mangal") - An I-day tradition :D. Nice "portrait".

Hear me Roar! Or bark. Or splash.

Helicopter that flew overhead AFTER I'd put the wideangle lens on...

Some nice flowers at the Mangal. (I'd climbed nearthe roof of the tree-house)

Sails.

Image
Where's Wally? (Spot the extra, I only did while reviewing the photo at home)
Image
Some family's dog. I promised the lawyer dad I'd send him the pictures and forgot :P. (And lost his card).

A shared tradition for all.

So, comments?
