Couple weeks ago I was at Marktrock where one of the acts was a guy going by the name of Milow. Imagine a younger version of Veronica Mars' dad doing sappy ballads and you get the idea. Which is why i was surprised to hear him doing a cover of 50 Cent's Ayo technology. Acoustic. And awesome.

I figured it was a throwaway gag to end the setlist - the cover was originally part of a goofy anniversary CD - but it's taken a life of its own, and it even has a NSFW video with lingerie and honey.

It's also several times better than the original could ever hope to be.

Haha, that's fantastic! I want to see more of these sorts of covers, starting with one of 50 Cent's other songs, 21 Questions (which wasn't all that bad; of course, we had no taste in high school )

I got a chuckle out of some chick from Veruca Salt's acoustic cover of Straight Outta Compton. Even though it's absolute blasphemy to do this kind of nasally "ironic" hipster shit to a track like one off the original NWA album, I admit I can't stay mad at it.
