avatar problems

I have a pic that's less then 100x100 but it's 27 kb's can anyone tell me how to change it without screwing it up?

I ran it though Infraview and it still did not seem to work it should be there in a few minutes after this post

You just need to reduce the JPEG quality setting in Irfanview's output options dialog. Start at 75 and keep dropping the number until the resulting image is smaller than 6kb.

The Gimp has a much more useful JPEG output module (it'll tell you how big the file will be before you save it) but the Gimp is a rather large download for a one-shot job.

The GIMP rules. Anyone who doesn't want to pirate expensive software like Photoshop should download the GIMP immediately.
